About Chris
Chris started his working life as a military pilot, so has come from a heavily regulated, process led background. After 14 years’ service he decided to go into full-time Project and Programme Management. Initially working in IT and then Business Change within one of the larger consultancies, he progressed into complex merger and acquisition programmes which led him to Norwich Union and Lifetime. This was Chris’s first platform experience which was invaluable for what was to come.
After Lifetime, Chris moved to Friends Provident to work on their platform business specifically in Platform Design, build and test. This gave Chris a real hands-on insight to how the technology works. Following this, Chris went to Standard Life to manage a large programme with the sole purpose of fixing issues across the whole platform business to enable industrial strength.
Following a stint in Hong Kong working on the Bank of China’s Platform, Chris returned to Standard Life to manage and eventually sponsor the largest programme (IT/Business Transformation) within their platform business.
